FAQ

  • What makes Coastal Care different from other nanny agencies?

Our approach is psychology-informed and highly personalized. With a background in youth development, psychology, and hands-on nanny experience, we prioritize long-term compatibility — not just availability.

  • Are caregivers background checked?

Yes. We conduct interviews, reference checks, and verify experience. Families are encouraged to conduct any additional background checks they feel comfortable with prior to finalizing employment.

  • Do you guarantee a match?

While we are intentional and thorough in our matching process, we cannot guarantee outcomes. Our goal is to create thoughtful, compatible placements that support long-term success for everyone involved.

  • Who employs the nanny?

The family is the employer. Coastal Care facilitates introductions and provides guidance, but all employment agreements are made directly between the family and caregiver.

  • How do I join Coastal Care?

Complete our Nanny Application Form. This allows us to learn about your experience, availability, and preferences before considering you for placements.

  • Is there a fee to apply as a nanny?

No. There is no fee to apply or be considered as a caregiver.

  • Am I employed by Coastal Care?

No. Coastal Care is a placement agency. Caregivers are employed directly by the family they work with.
